A Legacy: In The Loving Memory of My Son
Not born in a factory or a boardroom, Agni Pickles was born in the warmth of our family's kitchen. Filled with the aroma of roasted spices, everyday cooking , a variety of Pickles & Chutneys. Recipes that were never documented, just passed down with quiet love of generations cooking side by side & memory.
Everything I know today began with my mother. But even she would lovingly say that the true magic behind our recipes came from my grandmaa—her maa(our loving biji)—whose hands perfected every spice blend, every technique, and every flavour with extraordinary patience, care, and wisdom.
What started in my grandmaa’s kitchen was passed down to my mother, and from my mother to me—not through any cookbook or machine, but through time spent together, stories shared over simmering pots, and love, woven into every meal. That is how our recipes survived through generations. And that is the heart of Agni Pickles.
Every jar we make carries more than just flavour. It carries a memory. It carries my family's values. It carries the love of the women who came before me.
In 2020, I lost my mother to COVID—the woman who taught me not only how to cook, but how to love, nurture, and persevere. Losing her left a silence in my life that words can never truly describe.
Then, in 2022, life broke my heart again in the most unimaginable way: I lost my 23-year-old, healthy, handsome & bright son. No parent is ever prepared for that kind of pain & no parent should go through that kind of pain. These are wounds that never fully heal, and there were days when simply moving forward felt impossible.
As fate would have it, just six months after losing my son, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer, followed by a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and a full course of radiation. But in my darkest moments, I held onto the strength my mother and grandmother had passed down to me—resilience, faith, courage, and the belief that love never truly leaves us.
Today, as I raise my young daughter and build this business from the ground up, I carry my mother and my son with me in my heart and in everything I do. Their love lives in every recipe, every jar, and every step of this journey.
Agni Pickles is more than just a business. It is a legacy of my family, tradition, sacrifice, and unconditional love. It is a story passed down from grandmother to mother, from mother to daughter, and now forwarding it to the next generation.
This company is dedicated with all my heart to the loving memory of my mother and my son, whose love, strength, and spirit continue to guide me every single day.
